The third-generation Chevrolet Malibu featured the most extensive redesign of the model. The 1973-1977 Malibu was available as a coupe, sedan and station wagon, with convertible and hardtops discontinued due to new federal regulations.
The new chassis design underneath the third-gen Malibu featured a strengthened perimeter frame, increased suspension travel, relocated shock absorbers and revised front suspension geometry.
An Aldan American four-corner suspension package is a definite improvement over your Malibu’s stock springs and shocks. The kits are 100% bolt-on with no cutting, drilling or welding required for an easy installation.

Aldan American coilover conversion kits are made in the USA and designed to bolt onto OEM mounting locations. Kits are available separately or with tubular control arms that improve handling. The coilover conversion kit allows you to lower the front ride height of your 1973-1977 Malibu by up to 2.0-inches.
And when installing our double-adjustable coilover shocks, with 180 unique combinations of settings, you can custom-tune your Malibu’s suspension for wherever you drive — from street to strip to autocross.
