First-Gen Pontiac Grand Prix Coilover Kit
Years: 1962-1968
When first introduced for the 1962 model year, the Grand Prix was clearly intended to be Pontiac’s full-size performance leader. Buyers could choose from six different V8 engines, including the Tri-Power 389 and the 405 HP Super Duty. Seven different rear axle ratios were available, and Muncie M20 and M21 four-speeds replaced the T-10 the following year.
Whichever engine, transmission or axle ratio is in the 1962-1968 Pontiac Grand Prix you’re updating, an Aldan American coilover suspension package is an excellent upgrade. The kits are 100% bolt-on with no cutting, drilling or welding required for an easy installation.
For all first- and second-generation Grand Prix models, you can choose from front coilovers alone or a kit with rear shock absorbers that improve handling and response.
With Aldan American one-piece adjustable spring perches, you can lower the ride height of your 1962-1968 Grand Prix by up to 2.0-inches, improving the appearance and lowering the center of gravity, which also improves handling.

Aldan American Pontiac Grand Prix Suspension Upgrades
All Aldan American coilover suspension kit components have been designed, developed and manufactured in the U.S. using our more than 40 years of experience in muscle car suspension.
Aldan coilovers start with lightweight, high-strength 6061-T6 billet aluminum CNC machined to exacting specifications for low maintenance and long life. This aircraft-grade alloy is lighter and stronger, allowing our shocks to run cooler than steel-body shocks.
Aldan shocks feature internally-vented oil chambers to protect seals from excess pressure and with nitrogen gas charging for fade-free damping. Every Aldan American shock is fully serviceable and rebuildable and comes with Aldan’s Forever Guarantee.
