This part fits 1988-1998 GMC C1500 vehicles.
Transform the rear suspension on your 1988–1998 OBS Truck with the Suspension Engineering Rear 4-Link Suspension System—a purpose-built setup engineered for serious street performance and race-ready capability. Suspension Engineering chassis and suspension components are designed and tested to deliver high strength, durability, and excellent fitment. Using automated tube bending, CNC machining, and laser-cut components, this system is built for repeatable accuracy, rugged reliability, and outstanding value. This kit offers stock to 4″ of drop when installed.
At the core is a full bolt-on 4-Link kit that bolts to the factory leaf spring location, making it an ideal upgrade when you want improved traction, stability, and suspension control without reinventing your chassis. Adjustable link locations let you fine-tune suspension geometry for your stance, tire, and performance goals. The kit includes cast polyurethane bushings for quiet, durable performance, with upgraded Heim joints currently in production for maximum precision and response. A bolt-on Panhard bar mount is included for lateral axle control, and hardware is included to keep installation moving smoothly. Drilling is required for the chassis brace as part of proper, secure fitment.
This system is loaded with performance-minded components to complete a true lowered OBS setup, including USA-made high-clearance bolt-on C-notch to help create axle clearance and travel. Weld-on frame brackets provide added strength where it counts, while a bolt-on upper coilover mount crossbar supports coilover conversion. The kit includes weldable axle brackets with adjustable mounting, designed to fit factory 3-1/8″ (3.125″) axle housing diameter only. To finish the package, this system includes Aldan single adjustable coilovers with 250 lb springs installed for excellent damping adjustment and modern ride/handling control. A Panhard bar is also included to maximize rear-end stability and consistency.
Important Notes:
Axle brackets require welding to the rear axle housing and only fit factory 3-1/8″ (3.125″) axle diameter.
Welding the notch kit is recommended if the truck will be used for towing or loading.
