Charles Adams, 1958 Scarab

We have an interesting Aldan American customer car to share with you. Charles Adams of Daytona Beach Florida is the proud owner of this beautiful 1958 Scarab. It is a hand built replica of Lance Reventlow’s # 001 left-hand drive car. The hood scoop is patterned after the one on the # 003 Scarab.

Supporting Charles’ Scarab is a set of Aldan Coilover shocks and springs. The original Scarab had a 283 Small Block and a 4speed. Charles has a Small Block 383 stroker engine and a Tremec 6 speed to transfer the estimated 450 horses to the 4.11 gears in the Currie 9” rear axle. All of this goodness makes for a wild hair – raising experience packaged in the 2300 pound Hot Rod.
