Ford manufactured the Falcon from 1960-1970 with unibody construction, which the company had first employed on the 1958-1960 Thunderbird. The front suspension was by unequal-length control arms with coil springs and shock absorbers mounted high on the upper arm. The rear was suspended by leaf springs, along with drum brakes all around.
Whether you’re upgrading a six-cylinder Falcon or looking to improve a Sprint, an excellent start is to install an Aldan American coilover front suspension kit. Each coilover conversion kit is a 100% bolt-on assembly and does not require cutting or welding to install. Aldan American offers single adjustable shocks for the rear axle to complete the suspension upgrade.
The front coilover conversion is available with single-adjustable shocks. For 1960-1970 model years, a rear single adjustable shock is available. Plus, with adjustable spring perches, you can lower the front ride height by up to 2.0 inches to get the stance you want.

It was under Ford’s 1960s “Total Performance” umbrella — that drove Blue Oval victories at Le Mans and the Indy 500 — the Ford Falcon Sprint model was created. Debuting in mid-1963 model year, the Sprint featured a 260 CID V8, an available T-10 four-speed manual, bucket seats, and a floor shifter in a center console.
