1978 LS3 Equipped Pacer gets new Coilover’s

An LS3 in a Chevy Pacer? That is exactly what Phil and Susan of Brea, California did to their beautiful 1978 AMC Pacer. The Pacer is a real sleeper with 430 horsepower.

The body, and interior are stock and the paint is a respray of the original factory color, Golden Ginger Metallic. It has a 6.2L LS3 E-rod “Connect & Cruise” Motor with a 4L65e transmission.  Originally with a 304cu cast iron V8, it is much lighter now with the all aluminum LS3. The front suspension needed to be dealt with and the solution was Aldan American coilovers made for a GM G body. They fit the Pacer like they were made for it.  This Pacer will appear on Jay Leno’s Garage in August or early September on YouTube.
