TL;DR: Highly recommended.
I recently installed the double-adjustable coilovers on my 2011 C6. Mine is a dual-use car that sees 3-5 HPDE events every year. I discovered that the stock leaf spring suspension exhibited some side-to-side cross talk, leading to sub-optimal performance on rough sections of track.
Installing the front kit took some effort. Removing the leaf spring is best done by removing the *lower* control arm bolts (aka, cam adjustment bolts) from one side. Once that’s done, the spring just slides out.
The factory front sway bar will have to be trimmed slightly to clear the springs. Note that you can also gain some clearance by rotating the spring on the shock before tightening everything down.
Installing the rear units was substantially easier.
I’ve just returned from my first track day with the new suspension, at Hallett in Oklahoma. To say that the car behaved much better is an understatement. Even at the most firm setting for both compression and rebound, the car was very well behaved. Sections that were previously nervewracking are now handled with confidence. It’s also very streetable; the ride is not noticeably harsher on the highway.
I’d like to point out that Aldan’s product support has been amazing. I had some pretty length conversations with them about some finer points of installation and tuning. These guys definitely know their stuff.
