GM engineers further upgraded the front suspension on the 1993-2002 Pontiac Firebird: a short-arm/long-arm independent suspension replaced the McPherson strut setup of the previous generation. A new rack and pinion system significantly improved steering response.
At the back, GM engineers retained the excellent solid twin rear lower trailing arms, a Panhard bar combined with coil springs, and a torque arm to control the axle better.
Whether your goal is to improve your fourth-gen Firebird’s street, strip or autocross performance, your ‘Bird deserves an adjustable coilover suspension conversion that will add performance and versatility to your ride.
